He came, lived, and died on earth so that I could go to Heaven!

3:16 “This is how we know what love is; Jesus Christ laid down His
life for us.”

When Jesus was living on earth,
He went through every hurt that I would have. People said mean
things about Him. They didn’t understand Him. They rejected Him.
Even His mom and brothers thought that He was a little strange
when He was teaching in the temple. (How about that one!) Yet, He
always forgave. JESUS KNOWS MY HURTS!

15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me
first."
Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you,
your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not
forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Jesus showed me how to live in the plan of God. He showed me that
it works! |

1 John 3:18 “Dear children, let us not love with word or tongue
but with actions and in truth."
|
|
Jesus always listens when I talk to Him. He never puts me down. He
never rejects me. If I am hurting inside or outside, He is there
to comfort me. When I am having troubles, He prays to God the
Father for me. Even when I have good days He prays for me. JESUS
IS MY BEST FRIEND.

17:15 “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but
that you protect them from the evil one." (This is Jesus praying
for all believers.)

Jesus knows me better than anyone knows me. As God, He knew me
billions of years ago! I can’t even imagine billions of years
ago!

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you … ”
|
|
Jesus wants me to learn and think like He does. That is the way to
have a happy life. The Bible is the thinking of Jesus Christ in
writing. So, I have to study it to learn how Jesus thinks.

John 8:31 “…If you hold to my teaching, you are really My
disciples [students]. Then you will know the truth, and the truth
will set you free.”

When Jesus was doing His job of going to the cross and dying for
me, people tortured Him. He was very strong both physically and
spiritually. So, He was able to do this for me. He hurt sooo much,
but He wanted me to have the chance to go to Heaven. JESUS IS MY
BEST FRIEND.

Luke 22:42-44 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me;
yet not my will but yours be done.” An angel from heaven appeared
to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more
earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the
ground."

I can never say that Jesus doesn’t understand me. I can’t say that
He doesn’t know what it is like to hurt like I hurt. He knows and
understands because He has been there!

14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you”
|
|
On the cross, Jesus paid the price for my sins. He had to be
separated spiritually from God the Father. What a price! He died
spiritually so that I could live spiritually. What a friend! JESUS
IS MY BEST FRIEND!

Hebrews 12:2 “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and
perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the
cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the
throne of God.”

My best friend gets all of the glory (honor) because He did all of
the work! JESUS IS MY BEST FRIEND!

17:3 “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only
true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you
glory [honor] on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.
And now, Father, glorify [honor] me in your presence with the
glory [ honor] I had with you before the world began.”
