The Shekinah Glory

Part 2

Satan doesn’t want us to know the mystery doctrine about Christ living inside of us, about the Shekinah Glory. It was only to be a mystery to the dispensations or ages before the Church-age. Satan knows that this doctrine will make us secure in God’s love for us. We will know that God loves us just as He loves Jesus Christ! Incredible!!! Just as Jesus Christ indwelt the sacred buildings as a sign of blessing and security in Israel, He indwells our bodies as a sign of blessing and security. We are temples of the living God! God wants everyone to know this secret! It isn’t to be a secret any longer! God has no other way of showing Himself to men except in lives redeemed and freed, walking about in this dark world with Christ living in us! Let the Shekinah Glory shine!

Matthew 28:20 I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

In the Old Testament, the Jews could not see the Shekinah Glory, but they could see a manifestation of His presence. In the New Testament, we can’t see the Lord Jesus Christ, but God shows Himself through believers. We show the Shekinah Glory, or the indwelling of Christ, to the world and to each other through our bodies, the temples of the living God! We show this indwelling by having the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control, and goodness. Those who are in the darkness but are looking for the light, or knowledge of God, will see this manifestation of God.

Hebrews 13:5 For He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.”

The night before he died, why did Jesus Christ emphasize or put so much importance on the indwelling? Because He wanted us to see how His indwelling of our bodies is related or connected to the predesigned plan of God. He wanted us to see how it is connected to our escrow blessings in time and in eternity. So, let’s see how they are connected! When we are living in the predesigned plan of God, through our actions we show others the indwelling of the Lord Jesus Christ. The more we grow spiritually in the plan of God, the more capacity we have to receive blessings! Life just keeps on getting better and better in the plan of God!

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

John 13:35 “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Love is the most important manifestation of the Shekinah Glory because God is love! Jesus Christ was the best example. He showed us God’s love by the way he handled unfair and unjust treatment, and how He forgave and loved those who needed it. Jesus, in his humanity, had the Diety of God, the Shekinah Glory, living inside of him. This was so Jesus could remain without sin and go to the cross and die for our sins. He could fulfill the Father’s plan for the human race. We learn to see this glory through the way Jesus lived! We learn how to live the spiritual life. We are being transformed. We learn to live like Jesus Christ. Whenever you see someone showing compassion instead of gossiping, or being bitter or jealous, they are showing God’s love.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror [the word of God] the glory of the Lord [ the showing of God’s glory, how He thinks], are being transformed into the same image from glory [Jesus Christ] to glory [His glory in us], just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

God had a special job for Paul the apostle, Colossians 1:25-29. Paul understood dispensations being special periods of time with special rules for the people living in each dispensation. He also knew the mystery doctrine; it was called a mystery because the dispensations before the Church-age didn’t know anything about it. So, for our benefit, God gave him the job to communicate this to the Church-age. God gave him the information he needed to tell us about the mystery of Christ in us so we could look forward to sharing in God’s glory. Just as God had a special job for Paul, He has a special job for each one of us. We are to show God’s glory to others. We are to let the light inside of us shine!

Colossians 1:27 To whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works [which take place because of the thinking of Christ in your soul], and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.

Colossians 1:26 That is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generation, but has now been manifested to His saints….

In the Church-age, believers are called saints. This means they have been set apart for God for a special purpose. The special purpose is to bring glory to God. We do this by living in the glory that is in us; not having a lifestyle of being angry, bitter, fearful, living in our emotions, etc…. We are to have a lifestyle of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, goodness, and self-control. We can’t do it in our own power. Since God set us apart to do this, He gives us the power; we have the power of the Holy Spirit, Bible doctrine, and the ten problem-solving devices. We also have the security of knowing that the Shekinah Glory is in us!!! We can rest in Him! How cool is that???

Pre-designed plan of God: the filling of the Holy Spirit; learning, believing, and using Bible doctrine; and using the problem solving devices.

Gal2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Jesus Christ in His humanity is right now seated at the right hand of God. Since we are in union with Him from the time of our salvation, we are seated with Him positionally. We abide above in Him. We don’t experience it now, but we have that place waiting for us. It’s a little bit like always having a special seat at the dinner table. When you are away from home, that seat is still yours. When you go home, you sit on that seat. In heaven, there is a seat with Jesus waiting for us. When we go to heaven, we will be seated with the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, He abides in us here below, on earth. We are in Him, and He is in us, the ultimate oneness! We can rest and trust in Him with all of our soul!

1 John 2:6 The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

Manifestations of the Indwelling of the Lord Jesus Christ in Us

Loving our enemies, Matthew 5:44

Forgiving as Jesus forgave, Colossians 3:13

Being kind towards those who hate us, Matthew 5:44

Being overcomers, Romans 8:37

Giving thanks in all things, believing that all things, even those which shatter our hopes and dreams, are working together for our good, Romans 8:28; Ephesians 5:20

Being anxious for nothing, Philippians 4:6

Rejoicing in the Lord always, Philippians 4:4

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.

Philippians 4:8 From now on, [members of the Royal Family of God], whatever is true [doctrinal], whatever is honorable [noble or worthy of respect], whatever is just [fair or right], whatever is pure [of proper motivation], whatever personal loves exist, whatever is commendable, if there is any virtue [and there is for the mature believer] and if anything worthy of praise [and there is for the mature believer], be concentrating on these things.
