The Lord
Jesus Christ has the responsibility and the privilege to act as
the Supreme Court Judge. We are not judges. We are not to judge
others (tell them their sins). We have enough trouble handling our
old sin natures!
|
|

|
|
“Do
not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you
judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use,
[how harsh and cruel you are] it will be measured to you [you’ll
get what you give].” Matthew 7:1-2
|
Sometimes adults have to evaluate
people under their care (tell them how they are doing). This is to
be done with love and concern.
|
|

|
|
“Let no corrupt communication proceed from your mouth, but only
such a word as is good for edification [building up] according to
the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
Ephesians 4:29
|
There are times when we
malign others. That means that we see their sins and we tell
others. Other times we gossip. That means that we tell the sins of
others because someone told us. We did not even see the people
commit the sins! Maybe they didn’t commit sins! When we are
maligning and gossiping we are on the wrong track. We need to
rebound and keep moving!.
|
|
 |
|
“Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies
down.”
Proverbs 26:20
“A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a
secret.”
Proverbs 11:13
|
Sometimes we tell lies about other
people. We think that this will make us look good. Wrong! It will
only hurt us. It is hard to remember what lie we told to what
person! We get caught in our own lies. How confusing!
|
|
 |
|
“A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies
will not go free.” Proverbs 19:5
|
We can, and do, also lie to ourselves!
Imagine fooling ourselves! What fools! We try to be something that
we aren’t. However, if we stick with the Word of God, God will
point out who we are. The Holy Spirit will teach us the truth and
we can let go of the lie. What a relief!
|
|

“And
there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are
open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to Whom we must give
account.” Hebrews 4:13
|
|
Satan is the father of all lies. He has
the demons spread lies on earth. They use television, movies,
newspapers, books, schools, and religion to do this. (Religion is
man thinking that he can do the work for salvation. Christianity
is God doing all the work for salvation.) Satan wants people to be
confused as to what is the truth. He wants us to tell lies and
live in lies. How gross!
|
|

“And
no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades [disguises] as an angel
of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade
[disguise] as servants of righteousness.” 2 Corinthians 11:14
|
|
It is neither our duty nor
responsibility to try to take the place of the Lord Jesus Christ
as the Supreme Court Judge! It is our responsibility to evaluate
or judge our own lives in the light of the standards of Bible
doctrine.
|
|

“From now on, members of the royal family of God, whatever is
commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of
praise, let your mind dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8
“Love
[virtue love] is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does
not boast, it is not proud [arrogant].” 1 Corinthians 13:4
|
|
|
When we
judge others, spread gossip, tell lies about others, and live a
lie ourselves, we are evil believers. We think that it is our duty
and responsibility to straighten out others. We are blind to our
own charade or acting. We are so arrogant that we think that we
should replace our Lord Jesus Christ as the judge of the Supreme
Court of Heaven. Whom are we kidding? Certainly not the Judge of
the Supreme Court of Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ!

“He
who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a
stone at her.” John 8:7
